ESCAPE ROOMS

Can you solve the puzzles and get out of our escape room before it’s too late?

DESCRIPTION

Participants are "trapped" in a room, and cannot get out until they solve a variety of puzzles and clues leading to the key that will let them "escape" the room.

There are different themes and difficulties to choose from: Sherlock Holmes (High Difficulty), School of Magic (Medium-High Difficulty), Escape the 80s (Medium-Low Difficulty), and the Prankster Escape Room (Low Difficulty). No prior knowledge of the theme is required to complete the room.

TIME FRAME

Each game typically takes between 30 minutes to an hour to complete.

NUMBER OF PLAYERS

The escape rooms work best with 4 to 8 players, but requests for groups of other sizes can be considered on a case by case basis.

Need an activity for a larger group?  Consider our Whodunit Mystery Game where you gather clues from around the library to solve a mystery!  Suitable for groups of 4-36 players, games typically last one hour.

AGE RANGE

School of Magic Escape Room: Recommended for ages 18 and up.

Sherlock Holmes Escape Room: Recommended for ages 18 and up.

Escape the 80s Escape Room: Recommended for ages 14 and up. Players under 18 must be accompanied by at least one actively engaged adult.

Prankster Escape Room (new!): Recommended for ages 8 and up.  Players under 18 must be accompanied by at least one actively engaged adult.

HOW TO PLAY

Once everyone is in the room, solve a succession of puzzles until you find the secret key needed to escape the room. Each room has a time limit for solving the puzzle.  If you leave the room before solving the last puzzle or you don't find the key within the winning time frame, you lose.

REQUEST A GAME

Requests to play our escape rooms must be received at least one week in advance. To request an escape room, complete our Request Form or call the Reference Desk at 801-852-6661 to have a librarian take your request over the phone.
